Chrys

Chrys is a non binary aerialist and contortionist. They enjoy exploring new pathways on rope and playing with the limitations of c shaping. Chrys's pieces center around themes like: queerness, the body, and resilience. They currently study at the National Centre for Circus Arts in London.

Beginner Rope and Silks
Chrys

In this workshop students will work on fundamental silks and rope skills like inverting and various root positions. Students will be introduced to dynamic ropes skills like beats. The class will start with a general warm up and then begin with working on climbs and transition to skills. No prerequisites needed.

Creativity and Aerials

This class will focus on how can one move on aerials creatively and expressively. The class will start with a brief warm-up. Students will be given various movement exercises to apply to their aerial apparatus and asked to share throughout. They will be asked to play with speed, weight, and direction. Another exercise they will be asked is to endow their equipment with a specific quality such as it being cold or hot. Students must be able to invert in the air and climb.

C Shaping and Rolls!
Chrys

In this workshop students will work on C shaping and drills that will help them reach their rolling goals. This will include slow star drops, single roll ups, and hip lock roll ups. The class will start with a general warm up and c shaping specific roll ups on the ground. Then the class will transition to an aerial warm up and work on drills and skills for c shaping. Students should be able to: invert 5 times in a row, wheel downs, and hip locks.
