Katrijn De Wilde
Kat is a passionate acrobat from Belgium that has a hard time choosing between handstands, icarian, standing acro and whip-pops! She started gymnastics at the age of 6 in a small town club ‘De Greves’ in Hamme. Following her passion, she obtained her Masters degree in Sports and Movement Sciences as well as her teaching degree in 2016 at the University of Leuven. Afterwards she rolled into the circusworld and has been traveling- teaching – performing around Europe.

this workshop is for you when:
- you learned to do a hand to hand and now you want learn to do an extended h2h or throw dynamic tricks without getting hurt
- you are doing dynamic tricks but the outcome of the trick feels kinda random
- improve the h2h so that you dont have to take steps while balancing
focus on standing hand to hand:
technique improvement, injury prevention, safe ways in/out, posture/ body geometry, things you want to avoid, things that you want to achieve, angles and how to make use of them, who and how to balance and in which moment.
- handstands on the feet of a lying base
- icarian courbette (star to reverse throne)
- icarian courbette starting from handstand on feet
Prereqs:
- hand to hand
- experience with icarians
a dynamic trick (with a throw: full release of the flyer from the base) where the flyer moves from a L-base connecting throne, does a full back flip in the air and lands again in the starting position / throne.
Special attention on safe spotting technique!
We would like to use the longes for this workshop.
Prerequisites :
- Icarian front tuck and/or martini
- Being ready to spot turning dynamic tricks
We will focus on whip pops like (full) mortalito, back whip pop, tarzan 180 etc. and their main focus point for intermediate whip poppers (not beginners workshop, sorry).

we offer a variety of counterbalances in L-base and standing. a counterbalance is: lets say you are in a duo acrobatic shape and the flyer leans out to one side while the base has to counter that by leaning to the other side to maintain balance.

- L-base foot to hand
- two high
Bronco is a way to go into standing H2H, starting from reverse F2H.
There is no full flight moment since the flyer will always be connected to the base with at least 1 point of connection : for example 1 F2H or 1H2H.
We will be picking the move apart and teach it in small steps.

Bring your trick coaching.
