Sebastian Quevedo
Originally from Chile, he began his artistic journey as a member of the company Cirkundantes, specializing in hand balancing. He developed his skills independently by engaging with various communities and circus schools in Santiago, such as "La Chimba" and "Circo del Mundo," before moving to Portugal to attend INAC in Famalicão specializaing in handstands.
He is the co-creator and director of @intensivo.acrobatico, a nature-based retreat founded in 2017 that brings together disciplines such as Hand to Hand, Acrodance, Thai Massage, Acroyoga, and Stretching.

This workshop focuses on developing leg coordination, strength, and proprioception through isometric sequences performed in inverted positions, primarily handstand. Participants will explore structured leg pathways by moving through a clear order of fundamental shapes: straight, anatomical position, open straddle, straddle pike, transitioning into tuck, and returning to straight. The practice emphasizes controlled transitions between each position, using sustained isometric engagement to improve spatial awareness, symmetry, and clarity of leg intention. Through progressive exercise sequences linking these basic shapes, participants will refine their ability to organize the lower body independently while maintaining balance, alignment, and control in inversion.
This workshop explores advanced leg and hip coordination in handstands through asymmetrical and asynchronous movement patterns. Participants will work on developing true independence of each leg, introducing the moonwalking exercise, where one leg advances while the other retreats, alternating foot articulation between flexed and pointed positions. The work begins on the floor to build proprioception, spatial awareness, and coordination, before transferring the same movement logic into inverted positions. During the second half of the workshop, the focus shifts to hip independence, allowing participants to clearly perceive and control each side of the pelvis, and progressively introduce asynchronous leg actions while maintaining balance, scapular protraction, and overall alignment in handstand.
This workshop focuses on the technical and physical foundations of the press to handstand, approached as a progressive and sustainable process. We will break down the movement into key components such as shoulder alignment and scapular control, core compression, hip mobility, and weight transfer. Through specific mobility work, strength preparation, and guided progressions (using the support of a partner and controlled negatives ), participants will explore different press pathways and pre-exercises for perception (straddle and pike) according to their bodies and current level. The workshop emphasizes body awareness, efficiency, and long-term development rather than achieving a quick result.
